Sand and cement screed is the tried-and-tested base for most floors in the UK. It's strong, durable and cost-effective, and when it's laid by experienced hands it gives you a flat, level surface ready for almost any floor finish.

The right build-up depends on your substrate, loading and what's going on top. We can lay bonded, unbonded and floating screeds, and we'll advise on the most suitable option during your site survey rather than defaulting to one approach.

Planning a screed
Traditional screeds need time to dry before floor coverings go down, so it pays to plan early. If your programme is tight, ask us about quick-dry screed or flowing screed as alternatives.
